Was watching Gone In 60 Seconds earlier. Nicholas and Angelina? Way too much pretty for me. Guh.

It's finally cooled down enough so I could bake and que this week. I made some yummy blue berry and corn bread muffins and I qued some chicken and potatoes and squash yesterday. Damn it was all tasty. Next week I think I'll make some biscuits and gravy, Maybe a pie too.

Summer has been good so far. Had the neice over a few times. We went on a pinic and to the frarmer's market twice. I also took her to the comic book store which she loves doing. I also have seen a few friends here and there. Just trying to catch up with folks. Did Pride as well. Lots of pretty boys! And Crystal Waters and Cyndi Lauper too! And packing for the move in a few months.

So yup, it's been an ok summer so far.

I have not had an actual week's vacation from Dove since...well, ever!

But don't worry. I have plenty to keep me busy. I have created a doc with inconsistencies and weirdnesses in plot (barring certain very short mentions, usually jokes, about things that would have happened after the story is set), spelling (of Chinese) and other such fixed. Okay, I'm still fighting with apostraphes on the Chinese, but it's much better; the tightening and smoothing are what counts. My insanely annoying cat brought in a live bird, and now the bird is stuck hiding behind the refrigerator while the cat is stuck locked in my mom's room, crying to get out so she can just kill the thing already.

We can't move the fridge. We don't know how badly it's hurt. If it dies back there, we will all be miserable.

Luckily, the (basically) good cat is just napping (and shedding) as usual. Thanks for being too lazy to release any wildlife into the house, (basically) good cat.

There is a fucking beetle lurking between my DVD shelf and dresser. You know, those sticky nasty things that cling to your door in the summer? One of those. It will not die. I have stomped on it, hit it with a book, tried to crush it between shelves. It's a resilient little bastard. It had a hell of a time getting in between the rack and dresser, though, so I think it's stuck back there.

Either way, I will be sleeping with cotton in my ears.

I have redesigned my LJ layout, but I'm not sure that I like it. I like the pieces, but I don't know how well they all work together. Hrm. Also, new (possibly temporary) default icon.

I watched Shelter a few days ago (the surfer inspiration for the layout and the content of my icon) and I really liked it. I think I may be the last person in fandom to have seen it, but if that's not the case and you haven't seen it, I recommend it. It's a movie about gay men that doesn't end in horrific, brutal tragedy. So yay for that! It's actually very cute and sweet with a little bit of "oh noes I'm gay!" angst. A comfort movie, if you will.

I have season 3 of Bones burned on DVD if anyone is interested in them. I'm done watching so if you want me to send them on your way just let me know.

And also, why is it only TUESDAY? Woe.
